Though Kelley has spent most of her life as a bit of a nomad (22 moves in 25 years!), she is happy to now call the Northland home. In her high school and college years, Kelley and her mom would volunteer together at their local Christian radio station’s community events and concerts and she vividly remembers thinking how cool it would be to one day get to do this full-time! In 2016, she graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a degree in Biblical Theology and Pre-Counseling, and went on to work for a local food bank in Duluth and found her passion for partnering with community organizations to accomplish important work. All of these experiences working and being in community led Kelley to serve as our Listener Engagement Director, helping connect our listeners to the station and then back out into the community. Kelley loves how music unites and is grateful to be working for a radio station that serves as a common ground for people to meet and engage with God and each other.

In her free time, Kelley loves to run and rollerblade, enjoy a good cup of iced coffee (year-round!) with a friend, go to concerts with her roommates, and bake her famous chocolate chip cookies (at least once a week).

If you have an upcoming event you’d like us to partner with or have ideas on how we can better connect with the community, reach out to Kelley at kmjohnson15@unwsp.edu
