Jesus,
You were betrayed by those who were closest to You. You know how gut-wrenching it feels. You cared deeply about all of Your disciples and anyone who came across Your path. You were betrayed by one of Your closest followers, but Your mission remained unshakable. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for helping me remain faithful to You. Amen.
“Then one of the twelve disciples—the one named Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, ‘What will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?’ They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to him. From then on Judas was looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them.”
Matthew 26:14-16
