Blessing of the Bikes

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We’re much more about connecting with God than being religious, and some of us really love to ride motorcyles. So, on Sunday, May 26, 2019 we’ll be wearing our leathers, serving up a free barbecue, listening to some rockin’ music, praying for our safety this season and going for a ride. There will even be door prizes. You don’t wanna miss out on this party!   Schedule:  Early ride – 8am Meet at Perkins, Duluth, 40th Avenue West & I35, 8:00am for breakfast, 9:30am for a ride to the Vineyard. Pull up out front, make lots of noise.   Worship gathering – 11am The Vineyard is church as you may have never experienced it before; just a bunch of normal people learning how to love one another.   BBQ – 12:30pm We’ll have awesome barbecue, some sweet tunes, and door prizes from local shops as well.   Blessing of the bikes – 1pm Nothing weird here either, we just want to pray for safety this season for each bike and each biker.   Afternoon ride – 2:30pm Wipe the barbecue from your face, leave from the Vineyard and enjoy the rest of the day!

Hometown Heroes Community Walk for Food Allergy

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Food Allergy Research & Education’s (FARE) Hometown Heroes Walk will come to Duluth on June 1, 2019, celebrating the everyday heroes in our community – families, educators, health professionals, emergency responders, food workers and more – whose dedication helps keep the 32 million Americans with food allergies safe. Duluth’s Hometown Heroes Walk will be held at Leif Erickson Park and will create a safe, welcoming environment where all those affected by food allergies can unite to share inspiration and forge lasting connections while raising much needed funds for programs that advance FARE’s mission to improve the quality of life and health of individuals with food allergies and provide hope through the promise of new treatments. There will be children and family activities, appearances by local first responders, a silent auction full of great items from local businesses and community members, and fun walk through Leif Erickson Park and along London Road. Registration and t-shirt pick-up will begin at 8:30am, with the walk beginning at 10am. The silent auction will wrap up at 11am with winners announced by 11:15. Please join us in raising Food Allergy Awareness in our community!
