13th Annual Suicide Awareness Memorial Walk

9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

It is important to recognize the importance of mental wellness, so come join us for this annual FREE event in memory of loved ones lost to suicide and for awareness and education towards prevention. Registration will begin at 9:30am, with the walk starting at 10am. The walk will begin and end at Carlton High School. Refreshments and a short educational/remembrance presentation from Jessica Laney will follow the walk. Information on suicide awareness, education, and resources will be available. Participants may want to wear something with the name/picture of the person they are honoring the memory of (not required). Masks will be required anytime participants are indoors, regardless of vaccination status. This event is organized by the Carlton County Suicide Prevention Task Force. Please note - this is not a fundraiser – please come to walk with us in support of mental wellness. About the Prayer Conference Leader, Dr. Bob Bakke • Teaching pastor of Hillside Church in Bloomington, MN since 2007. • Graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary • Dr. Bakke spent 14 years serving Connecticut and New Jersey churches. • For 12 years he served as an Executive Director of the Evangelical Free Church of America, promoting prayer and spiritual awakening. • Dr. Bakke is an author and has produced television and radio simulcasts since 1994. He produces occasional national broadcast events that afford millions of people the opportunity to pray simultaneously. • As one who honors the local pastorate as the highest calling, Dr. Bakke uses his gifts as a preacher, teacher, networker, and tactician for promoting and cultivating prayer-based movements - domestically and internationally - that have led to the transformation of people and places. His designs are to ensure that local churches become the principle agency for the revival of the “Church" and the advancement of Christ's Kingdom today. Jeremiah and Vanessa Gamble combine light hearted fun, music, and storytelling in their shows based on popular Biblical characters and faith related concepts.
