Chief Frantz Red Run 5K

When: Saturday, July 29th, 2017 beginning at 10:00AM Where: Rice Lake Fire Station 1, 4051 Martin Road, Duluth, MN 55803 Cost:  Adults: $30, after July 16th after t-shirts will be first come first serve (Group Discounts)   Children: (14 and under) $15, after July 16th t-shirts will be first come first serve (Night before packet pickup is available, Friday July 28th 5-7pm at Rice Lake Fire Station 1)

  • Registration and Packet Pick-Up: 8am-9:30AM
  • Race Start: 10AM
  • Awards and food following the race
  • Raffle prize drawings starting around 11:30AM

Day Camp at United Lutheran Church of Proctor

July 31-August 4 2017 9:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m. United Lutheran Church of Proctor is excited to announce that Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry staff will once again come to Proctor for Day Camp. This is a week-long local camp experience for campers who may not be ready to attend regular camp sessions at Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion or who want to have a Christian camp experience in their hometown. The Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry staff brings all the fun along with the solid spiritual foundation of a week of Bible Camp and fits it into a Day Camp experience at church! The program is designed for children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Friends are welcome and older youth are needed as helpers. A snack and bag lunch will be provided free of charge Monday through Thursday. We also will offer a mini-camp for preschool children ages 3-5 in the mornings from 9 to noon. Day Camp is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to noon on Friday. The Pre-school Mini Camp is from 9:00 am to noon each day. Run off the endless energy!  Wednesday Night at the Races has become a summer tradition for hundreds of families throughout the Northland.  This youth race series is held on 6 consecutive Wednesday evenings in July and August, and draws an average of over 400 children per night. July 26: Duluth East High School, Ordean Stadium August 2: Proctor High School Track, behind Proctor High School August 9: Denfeld High School, Public Schools Stadium August 16: Hermantown High School, Corey Veech Memorial Field August 23: Superior High School, NBC Spartan Sports Complex August 30: Wade Stadium, year end run and picnic Registration is from 5-5:50pm. These races are free. Races start promptly at 6:00pm with the youngest runners ( 4 and under) to the oldest runners (age 14) Every runner gets a ribbon for racing.
