Every year friends like you and me try to either change current behaviors, or create new ones. Yet so often we try to accomplish these huge life changes on our own, and not through the power of Jesus and His spirit living inside us.
What are you resolving to change in 2015? Maybe some of these words from the Bible will help!
God moved BIG TIME for His people in the Bible, and He is still doing that today. Call on Him as you work on your resolutions in 2015…
Look around the nations; look and be amazed. For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe, even if someone told you about it.
–Habakuk 1:5, CEB
Don’t look into the past and be discouraged about previous mistakes…
Don’t remember the prior things; don’t ponder ancient history. Look! I’m doing a new thing; now it sprouts up; don’t you recognize it? I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness.
–Isaiah 43:18-19, CEB
No matter what happens, God looks fresh on me and you every morning! Make sure you do the same…
Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
–Lamentations 3:22-23, CEB
Both spiritually and physically, going through hard work and learning new disciplines pays off…
I believe that the present suffering is nothing compared to the coming glory that is going to be revealed to us.
–Romans 8:38, CEB
And no matter what you are doing, where you are or what you’re going through, He is there…
The Lord is my Shepherd. I lack nothing.
–Psalm 23:1, CEB
Becoming a stronger person through New Year’s Resolutions can be healthy for you and those closest to you. Go into 2015 with a purpose and knowledge that God loves you, no matter what!
